My Approach to Spinal Surgery

  • Establishing a relationship of trust is essential. This requires attentive listening to both the patient and their family.

  • We must undertake a thorough and accurate diagnostic assessment, based on clinical findings and supported by appropriate investigations. Only once an accurate diagnosis has been established can treatment options be considered. Treatment should initially focus on non-surgical approaches.

  • Surgery should be reserved for cases that do not respond to conservative treatment. It requires specific technical expertise and skills, combined with extensive experience in the field. The latest technological tools should also be used to ensure precision, safety and the best possible outcome.
